Like the Furnace wetsuit, I heard good things about the 7mm claw gloves. Overall, they were comfortable and kept my hands relatively warm, but I do have a few suggestions.
1.) size up. Unlike my wetsuit sizing choice, I opted for a tighter fit on the gloves and chose a medium. In so doing, I had a little more dexterity, but I suffered in the long run because more water penetrated due to the extra stretch at the seams. As such, I will be replacing with a large.
2.) if given the choice, go with the mittens. The claw left my index finger more exposed and I found that was the quickest to go numb. For photographers, try going with the claw on your trigger hand and a mitten on your non-shooting hand.
