When traveling across the world on a monthly basis, functional and durable luggage becomes one of the most important aspects of your kit. Db has been making thoughtful sports bags for a while, but the Djarv might be the best yet. The padding and bullet-proof exterior make it ideal for even the worst airports. Even absent minded baggage handlers will be hard-pressed to damage your most sensitive equipment. I even let some reckless donkeys have a crack at it on long, rough trail high into the Karakoram’s and had no issues afterwards.
Overall, the bag is simple, but the details that are present are super functional and well thought out. For instance, handle placement is on point and makes it easy to manipulate the bag even when fully weighted. Another example is the adjustable length. Most of my bags in the past look a little like a poorly loaded garbage bag, but this one allows you to remove all the slack. The ability to strap on another Db bag makes airport transfers with a lot of gear super easy. I started with the 50L Strom, which is great, but a little small for an expedition. I’ve since added the Hytta to the quiver and am totally satisfied.
Anyway, you get it, I’m all in on Db and love my current combo.
